Mumbai: Within 24 hours, Lalit Modi has been once again questioned by tax officials. Following this Modi met Mukesh Ambani at Nariman Point.
The agenda behind this meeting is still unknown, but sources state that this could be Modi’s method of winning support from the IPL.
Modi’s post as the Chairman of IPL is in danger. The funding of all associates and team-owners of IPL is carefully being scrutinized by the government.
Meanwhile income-tax officials are constantly visiting the IPL team owner’s offices to study the document of ownership.
Sahara offices in Lucknow were checked on Thursday and offices of team owners in Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata were frequented by tax officials on Wednesday.
