CBI raids Bokaro Steel top brass
The Central Bureau of Investigation has raided the office of the Managing Director of Bokaro Steel Limited, Mr. V K Srivastav, which is run under Steel Authority India Limited.
The CBI also raided the offices of four other General Managers in connection with the ongoing investigation of massive irregularities in the promotion of 394 employees of the company in December 2008.
The raids were led by the Dhanbad CBI S.P V K Singh in which 50 officers of CBI from Ranchi, Patna and Dhanbad took part.
The CBI also conducted simultaneous raids on the Delhi premise of a company, employed as a consultant by the PSU to the handle some of the paper works relating to the promotion.
The CBI had earlier lodged a case on June 11 under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.

Really a great job done by CBI. There is a same corruption involved in same matter in another unit of SAIL at Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai, situated in Chhattisgarh. Highcourt of Chhattisgarh had already ordered to CBI New Delhi in the month of March 2010.

Thanks to CBI. Massive irregularities have taken place in Durgapur,Bhilai & Rourkela Steel Plants of SAIL, in the promotion of Junior Officers. CBI should raid these offices also and all the culprits should be punished.

this is action will definitely boost up the morale of the dedicated work force of bhilai steel plant and all other units of sail..
similar raids are urgently required in bsp also
before the culprits could not hide the proof…

Dear Mr.Singh,
Thank you very much for the raids done at Bokaro Steel Plant. The officers, including the top ones should be brought to book if the charges against them are proved.
I beilive PSU’s like SAIL can outperform any Private Player/MNCs if their honest,dedicated and performing employees are allowed to work properly. Any move to dampen their spirits will cost out Nation badly and the same should be weeded out by an iron hand.

This is a very good steps taken by CBI against this massive curruption in the public sector.The same thing happend in BHILAI STEEL PLANT also,where alot of manupulation had been done in the deptt. promotion as well as alot of currupt money has been involved.This should also diclosed before the public.

This act should not be criticized by u all because if u would have been in their place u too would have done the same thing … rather regarding this make urself pure from inside because u never know when the hunger or rather say thirst for money knocks ur door and makes u as his prey ……..

A great job done by CBI.Officers who are unfaithful towards the organisation are promoted and who are upright and work towards the interest of this public sector organisation are harassed and even their CRs also dameged.
My father Late Amalendu Bhowmick of Alloys Steel Plant,Durgapur became such a victim of corrupt officials of SAIL.
